HK-11E

FRESHLY GRADED BY NGC. HK-11E GRADED MS 65 RB. THIS IS THE TOP POP OF ONLY TWO OF THIS TYPE IN THE NGC CENSUS AS OF 8/2019.

I PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE OTHER GRADED EXAMPLE OF THIS TYPE THAT IS A MS 64 BN. JEFF SHEVLIN NOW OWNS THIS MS 64 BN EXAMPLE AFTER WE DID SOME "HORSE TRADING".

THIS MEDAL WAS PREVIOUSLY IN THE DONALD ENSLEY COLLECTION IN MICHIGAN. MR. ENSLEY HAD ALL OF HIS MEDALS GRADED BY A GRADING COMPANY CALLED MMNS. THIS MEDAL WAS GRADED BY MMNS AS A HK-11A, WHICH WOULD BE BRASS. I COULD TELL BY THE COLOR OF THE MEDAL THAT IT WAS NOT BRASS. I SENT IN TO NGC DESIGNATED AS HK-11E COPPER AND THEY AGREED.

very nice I have the graded HK-11a by NGC. it is about as pure brass as there is and has none of the complex mixtures and alloys that makes so many color variations.
This is a really choice piece thanks for sharing
