HK-73

This HK-743 variant SCD changed hands recently. I thought it was interesting since it isn't listed in the H&K SCD book. A wonderful summary on North American Aviation is available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Aviation

Nicely toned. I don't recall ever seeing a WM piece toned like this, could it actually be silver? The HK book says pewter but Cunningham says they were also made in silver.

There was an HK-73 in the Stacks summer auction. It was listed in the Lincoln section. Nicely toned and the first time I have seen a picture of one. There is no picture of one in the HK book. Speaking with Paul Cunningham he says they were made in copper and silver also. All very rare.

Here is the picture once again of my HK-73
