Sad news from the ANA...

Sad and troubling news. Jeff is a stand up person of high standards. Oh........now I understand why he was let go as the ANA has become the PNG..........or is it the other way around?? In any event there is obviously a problem with the culture of the ANA which is a reflection of the ANA Board. Anyway, hopefully we will get Jeff back in the flow again with so-called dollars where he is greatly appreciated.

http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=887403&STARTPAGE=1 I can safely say that Jeff has done nothing wrong. The ANA has internal problems (including some of the current board), and when someone of high ethics (Jeff) tries to solve things, those who benefit from the status-quo act out. Anyone who collects so-called dollars and knows Jeff Shevlin should never doubt him or his high standards. ...and I was NOT paid or asked to post this ! edited by rjesinger on 4/28/2013

In any event there is obviously a problem with the culture of the ANA which is a reflection of the ANA Board. Anyone hazard a guess on what the last A in ANA stands for? Hint, it isn't association! Anyway, hopefully we will get Jeff back in the flow again with so-called dollars where he is greatly appreciated.

sevenfold AMEN!!!!!!

Oh yeah, vote for me, Bill Hyder, if you did not recognize who I am.

Jeff is on a cruise this week. He and Cil were in New Orleans and at the candidate's forum. If you are an ANA member, I would appreciate your vote for the board of governors. The Association is seriously in need of change and a new board. The president and vice president are running unopposed, but seven governors will be elected from a field of 14. It is possible to bring in 7 new faces who would then hold a majority on the board if they work together. Scott Barman, Oded Paz, Jeff Wuller, and I share some common ideas about what needs to be done. The 2013 candidate forum was live streamed to the web and is available on Youtube. Three hours and the sound quality is poor, but you can make out much of the questions and answers if you listen carefully. I suspect Jeff will post his recommendations when he returns. I can add a that a little of what we learned in conversations reinforces my belief that the termination was ill conceived and unwarranted, but we cannot do anything about the mess unless we get a majority of new members elected to the board, members who want to do something about the mess that now exists.
