On the obverse is Minerva standing facing left. The exposition grounds stretch out behind her towards the sun which is setting in the Golden Gate. An imitation of the California State seal, these are commonly called “California Dollars”. A Battleship with no lower portholes passes through the Panama Canal locks on the reverse.
