TOP POP, certified as a Proof by NGC, a Bronzed Proof, none certified finer by NGC. NGC has only certified five examples. The obverse features a very high relief of the bust of George Washington wearing a large tricorn hat. Reverse edifice of Washington’s Valley Forge Headquarters, dated 1878-1903. Engraved by George Hampden Lovett, there is a faint L on his left lower coat.
