Near TOP POP only 1 DPL graded finer by NGC. Very reflective fields give a nice cameo look to this DPL – Deep Mirror Proof Like Surfaces graded SCD. One of the most desirable SCD’s from the 1876 Centennial Exposition. Struck in in White Metal. Both dies were engraved by George B. Soley. Soley was an assistant engraver at the U.S. Mint, and this medal was most certainly struck at the U.S. Mint. Soley’s Washington Large Bust die is also found paired with Key’s Liberty Bell SH 2-11.
