TOP POP. Unique. Obverse depiction of a proposed 1500 foot tower that was suppose to rival the Eiffel Tower, which was 960 feet. The World’s Fair Committee opted instead for the giant Ferris Wheel. A smaller version of Bonet’s tower was built for the center of the Midwinter Exposition the following year. The reverse shows the Interstate Exposition Building, built in 1872, torn down prior to the Exposition. The dies are not signed.
