Near TOP POP, only 1 graded finer in NGC 62, Only 9 certified to date. Almost impossible to find without spots or nicks, this problem free example is certainly one of the finest. This is the Type IV variety which has San Francisco, Cal. on the obverse and does not have the legend on the reverse. The obverse features the bust of Admiral Robley D. Evans, known as “fighting Bob”. He was captain of the first ship that fired a gun against the Spaniard’s in the Spanish-American War 1898.
