Unusual oblong shape with a bust of Columbus on the obverse and a detailed underground mining scene on the reverse. The mining scene is similar to the one pictured in Hibler & Kappen, but entirely different. This is one of the rarer Columbian Exposition pieces. Struck in Aluminum with a horizontal slit at the top.
