A very affordable example of a fairly scare So-Called Dollar. This medal was struck in 1905 at the new Denver Mint to test the new machinery and possibly new dies for a $20 gold piece. It was handed out as a souvenir at the official opening ceremonies. Obverse DENVER above and 1905 below, bank reverse with a beaded border. Struck in Bronze. Graded XF details due to the dark streaks, nonetheless a pleasing example.
