1901 Pan-American Exposition

Buffalo, New York

The exposition promised to be the largest since the Columbian Exposition. Pax 1901, for peace, the theme of the exposition, was shattered when President McKinley was assassinated at the Temple of Music on September 6, 1901. 13 different so-called dollars in various compositions were struck for this exposition.
