Another Lovett design using the same central device with a small bust of Washington as on the Lovett Small Bust Battle series. Dies engraved by George H. Lovett. NGC has graded 1 in 65. Fully brilliant with bright, proof like fields that stand out. A few tiny marks are present in the obverse fields. Likely struck in anticipation of the Centennial Celebration in late 1875 to early 1876. It has been published in the April 1876 Coin Collector’s Journal and was only specified as white metal.
