SOLD: HK-79 1876 Centennial Declaration of Independence four seated / Washington Ornamental Bust SCD

Although this piece is not certified, only two have been certified by NGC. The Declaration of Independence die has three different varieties that are found paired with the Washington Ornamental Bust. This variety, engraved by George Hampden Lovett, has only four people seated and none standing to the right of the Committee of Five, the die is not signed. The reverse, also engraved by Lovett, features a naked bust of George Washington with an ornamental border of Calvary and Infantry.
