Catholic version, IN HONOR OF THE CATHOLIC VISITORS TO THE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION. Designed by German-American engraver Rudolf Laubenheimer. One of the different obverse designs that share a common “See How We Prosper” reverse. Bust of Blessed Pope Pius IX who reigned from 1846 until his death in 1878, the longest reign in Church history. Pius had a close relationship with America.
