An argument could be made that since the reverse die has a Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) badge, that it is a fraternal medal and should not be included as a so-called dollar. Originally included by Hibler & Kappen in the 1963 edition, the authors opted to leave it in as well, considering it more a centennial celebration medal than a G.A.R. related event. Engraved by Key.
