Twenty-five certified and only seven graded finer. Stacks Bowers sold 64+ for $1,320 11/2019. At $600 less, this medal is a great deal. This medal commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the departure of the Continental Army from Valley Forge. Authorized by Congress, designed and engraved by William Barber and struck in SILVER in 1880 at the Philadelphia Mint. Obverse features the bust of George Washington. This is one of the “Three Kings” of silver so-called dollars along with the Grant HK 12A and the Roosevelt HK 308.
