SOLD: HK- 1888 Buffalo New York International Exposition Official SCD

This is the Six Lower Stars variety. A simple design with the exposition hall and INTERNATIONAL FAIR above and below. The reverse identifies the location and the date, 1888. The bronze is larger, but was struck with the same dies and probably without a collar. The SH 5-31.1 variety has six stars instead of five on the lower reverse. The dies are not signed and the engraver is unknown.
