The shield at center is divided in two portions by a diagonal band with five wheat sheaves. At upper right is a view of Niagara Falls and lower left is a view of the main exposition building. The shield is superimposed over a scroll showing an iron horse to the left and a river scene to the right. At top is a steam ship. A partial wreath is shown at the bottom underneath the scroll. The whole is surrounded by a border of 42 stars. The reverse shows an open wreath and states: Awarded by the Buffalo International Fair and Exposition. 1888. Struck by P.L Krinder Co. of Philadelphia, PA. Struck in Bronze. 60mm and very thick.
