This is the Plate Medal as depicted in the book So-Called Dollars Volume I: United States Expositions. The Maryland State Seal is the obverse main device surrounded by legends commemorating the bombardment of Fort McHenry and the Maryland Exposition. The reverse depicts the Battle Monument. These medals were worn suspended from ribbons during the celebration of the re-enactment of the event. White metal are always found holed. The dies are not signed and the engraver is unknown. Graded XF, cleaned.
