Near TOP POP, only 1 certified finer by NGC. Struck by Childs, a Columbus obverse with the New Metal Aluminum Small Scroll reverse. The obverse outer inscription is the same as SH 6-137 & 6-138, but with a different portrait of Columbus in the center. There are three similar but different “New Metal Aluminum” reverse dies. This obverse is found with both Type 2 and Type 3 reverse dies. Both have small scrolls above ALUMINUM. Type 2 the T of TASTELESS touches the left scroll. Type 3 the S of ODORLESS touches the right scroll, see SH 6-139.
