TOP POP, the finest graded by NGC and the only one in 66, only 16 have been certified. This is also a very early die striking as it does not have the die gouge usually seen on the obverse at 5:00. The obverse shows a picture of the Administration Building which is in contradiction to the obverse inscription which states BIRDSEYE VIEW OF THE WORLDS FAIR, which it is not. Chicago is misspelled on both the obverse and reverse dies. The reverse landing scene is similar to SH 6-106 and SH 6-108, but the engraving is different. Obverse microsignature BLUMENFIELD P.O.C. Blumenfield was selling these medals, as he was selling medals the following year at the 1894 Midwinter. It is unknown what the P.O.C. stands for, the Midwinter’s were signed BLUMENFIELD S.F.C.
