An amazing rarity, and only one other only silver variety certified by NGC, a SILVER PROOF. Graded uncirculated details rim damage. The medal’s fields are CH BU and it was struck as a proof. NGC’s tag indication PROOF is included. This was previously sold by Paul Koppenhaver in the 1980’s, his original envelope is included. The silver proofs are one pearl die varieties and are likely an early die used. Large letter variety of the Official U.S. Mint souvenir medal minted on the fairgrounds. Engraved by George Morgan, his signature “M” is below the edifice to the far right.
