This medal includes the original black box that it was sold in. Inside the lid is an advertisement for the company selling the medal. Ohio Building obverse combined with a Mother Ohio & Her Jewels reverse. This piece in aluminum is often found holed with a brass “Ohio” top pin bar. The gold-plated is a golden amber color. Struck by Murdock of Cincinnati. The Aluminum are found holed approximately 75% of the time. This one is not edge marked “COPYRIGHTED 1892 BY OSCAR RITCHIE” as most are found.
