The medal is in very nice condition, but the obverse of the slab is very scruffy and makes the medal look lower grade than it actually is. The reverse slab is slightly scruffy, but not as bad as the obverse. The second in the series depicts the Administration Building much as it was constructed. Lauer, the Nuremberg German diesinking firm, produced a set of six aluminum medals depicting an exhibition building on the obverse with a common reverse, based on the California State Seal.
