Lovely example with nice luster. If it had ben conserved prior to certification it most likely would be graded finer. Certainly on of the higher grades, but not a TOP POP contender. Official Medal from the 1898 Trans-Mississippi International Exposition held in Omaha, Nebraska. A female bust on the obverse and on the reverse a mounted Indian spearing a buffalo. This is the Gold-Plated version struck by the United States Mint. The Hibler & Kappen SCD reference book incorrectly refers to this as a brass version.
