This medal was struck using two different obverse and reverse dies. There are either six or eight columns to the left behind the trees near the water. The six column varieties are found with coin and medal orientation, while the eight column varieties have a usually have a medal orientation. All have reeded edges. The five aluminum varieties SH 13-14 through 13-18 were sold in a circular aluminum holder, the gold-plated varieties in a brass holder. This piece is the eight column variety with coin orientation.
