Only graded PL by NGC, but this has the same look as a DPL! They don’t get deeper mirrored surfaces than this one has. Pedigreed to the Ostheimer Collection which was sold in 2010. The Ostheimer Auction catalog is a collectible today. The aluminum is found in both coin and medal orientation. This is the coin orientation variety. The gold-plated is found only with coin orientation. Many medals from this era previously cataloged as brass are gold-plated. Struck with a reeded edge.
