This is the scarcer Silver-Plated version. Hibler and Kappen likely overlooked this medal as it was incorrectly cataloged as 32mm in Trantow’s published study of the exonumia of the “Tokens and Medals of Oregon Lewis and Clark Exposition Medals”. Most examples have “rabbit ears,” a loop at both 11:00 and 1:00, that was added after the medal was struck. Plain edge, medal orientation.
