SOLD: HK-356 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition Official SCD – Gold-Plated

This is the exceptionally scarce Gold-Plated variety, with a loop as believed all were made. U.S. Mint die engraver George T. Morgan designed the official medal based on Adelaide Hanscomb’s official logo and the Seattle City Seal. The medals were struck at the exposition by the U.S. Mint and sold through Joseph Mayer & Brothers of Seattle. Medal orientation.
