Although graded MS 63 by NGC, this has the overall look of a GEM BU. Thomas Elder, a coin dealer from New York, had these struck for the 1909 Hudson Fulton Celebration. Struck in aluminum. Pattern by French sculptor J.E. Roine and struck by Medallic Art Company. NOTE: I, Jeff Shevlin, worked for Medallic Art Company in 2013-2014 as Director of Special Projects.
