Hendrik Hudson Daalder So-Called Dollar created by Thomas Elder in 1909 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the discovery of the Hudson River and the centenary of successful steamboat navigation. Obverse features the bust of Hendrik Hudson, on the reverse is a sailing ship. Struck in aluminum, the size of a U.S. gold dollar.
