At 63.7mm it is too large to be cataloged as a So-Called Dollar, but it was released at the 1964 NWYF as one of the official medals.

The obverse was designed by John B. Peterkin and sculpted by Anthony de Francisci. It shows the Unisphere as the main device, the symbol of the fair, which was designed by Gilmore David Clarke and fabricated by the American Bridge Co., a division of US Steel. Beneath the sphere are the years of the fair 1964-1965. In a slightly recessed channel around he perimeter are two legends. Upper: MAN”S ACHIEVEMENT IN AN EXPANDING UNIVERSE. Lower: NEW YoRK WoRLD’S FAIR. The Unisphere is a spherical stainless steel representation of the Earth, located in Flushing Meadow, New York City. The sphere measures 140 feet high and 120 feet in diameter and is one of New York City’s most iconic and enduring symbols.
The reverse was designed and sculpted by Anthony de Francisci with a circular New York City Seal after the 1915 oval seal by Paul Manship as adopted by the New York City Board of Aldermen and the NYC Art Commission.
This medal was struck in four sizes in three metals. The bronze medal offered here is the second largest and the only one in bronze. The others are two in fine silver and one in pewter.
