A great rarity from the 1915 PPIE, an Ingot – California Native Gold Washed, marked with a value of $30.55. 1 & 475/1000 OZ. This is not actually gold. Obverse states CALIFORNIA NATIVE GOLD WASHED. Edge marked “PAT. APPLD. FOR FRED HAWN”. This is only the second of these this cataloger has seen in over 40 years. It measures 29.3mm wide, 15.3mm tall and a 8.2mm thick, very thick.
