World War I Victory Medal. This is the rarer Copper variety that has never been looped, which are quite rare. Obverse features a female with sword, shield and wings. On the reverse is a vertical shield and fasces. The dies were made by the U.S. Mint, and struck by Art Medal Works of Newark, NJ. James Earle Fraser worked with Medallic Art Company to create the models, reductions and hubs.
