This is an unlisted variety of the Medal of Honor medal, except this is the Medal of “Award” variety. Very similar to obverse die HK-458, on the reverse the word Honor is replaced with Award. Obverse features an eagle standing above a nest with eggs, overlooking the exposition grounds. “Medal of Award” in the center on the reverse, signed by Albert Laessle.
