SOLD: HK-453 1926 U.S. Sesquicentennial Exposition Official SCD – Gold-Plated

Struck by the U.S. Mint at the exposition to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Obverse features a bust of Washington in the center within 13 stars around. Reverse depicts Liberty with a torch in her upraised left hand and a palm branch in her right as she rides the flying Pegasus towards the right above the clouds, torch held between sun and rays. Struck Gold-Plated.
