Offered for sale is a complete set of the 1933 Colorado “Century of Progress” So-Called Dollars, HK-867, 868, 869 and 870, each one in it’s own original envelope and book style holder. All four are depicted in the four listings here, and are sold as complete set of four for $3,800.
The medals were sold to raise funds for Colorado’s participation in the Century of Progress Exposition to be held in Chicago in 1933. Four types were struck. This medal is Type II. Obverse states “A Century of Progress Souvenir” with Colorado’s State Seal in center. Reverse states “Silver Will Restore Prosperity 1933”. Struck in one ounce fine SILVER. Original packaging included.
