Pedley-Ryan & Co., a Denver investment house, in 1933 marketed a variety of one ounce silver slugs the same size as a silver dollar, as an investment opportunity. The Type IV is stamped “Pedley-Ryan & Co” on the obverse and “1933 Silver 430 Grains” on the reverse. This pleasing example is bright and reflective with a hint of light toning along the perimeter.
