SH 23-1.2 GP “SLASHES” variety. The official medal for the GGIE is found with numerous die varieties. This is the “Slashes” variety. The obverse features an aerial view of treasure island with a Clipper Sea plane to the left and the Golden Gate in the distance above. On the reverse is the Tower of Sun with small portals on Treasure Island. Although a few silver varieties have been certified, the authors believe they are actually silver-plated.
