SOLD: 1939 NYWF Free Czechoslovakia SCD

Obverse features an adult male, representing the country of Czechoslovakia, held captive with bonds, a female with a baby and a child in anguish next to him. On each column he is bonded to are swastikas and evil snakes representing Nazi Germany, who invaded Czechoslovakia during WW II, and the country did not de facto exist, but its government-in-exile continued to operate. On the reverse at the top is the date March 15, 1939, the date that Hitler’s tanks invaded Czechoslovakia. The U.S. did not enter into WW II until December 7th, 1941.
