Only five certified and only two graded finer. Struck to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Minnesota’s Statehood. The design features the official Minnesota Statehood emblem on the obverse. Struck in Aluminum, (not iron or nickel). The uniface pieces were initially struck as trial pieces, or as concept pieces to encourage the issuance of other medals which would use this design on the reverse, several others were issued for the Statehood Centennial Celebration. Rare variety with the blank reverse.
