Near TOP POP, only two DPL finer in 67. A sparkling GEM! Continental Dollar restrike made from Montroville Dickeson’s 1860’s dies struck by Q. David Bowers of the Empire Coin Company in 1961. A replica of the original 1776 Continental Dollar whose design is attributed to Benjamin Franklin. The obverse features a sundial in the center with the sun and rays above. The reverse features a chain of thirteen circles, on each the name of one of the thirteen original States. Struck in White Metal.
