Near Top POP and only one graded finer in 68. This is a Continental Dollar restrike using Dickeson’s 1860’s dies by Robert Bashlow in 1962. Dickeson’s die is a replica of the original 1776 Continental Dollar which is attributed to Benjamin Franklin. The obverse features a sundial in the center with the sun and rays above. The reverse features a chain of thirteen circles, on each the name of one of the thirteen original States. Struck in Silver. Stacks sold an NGC 66 for $576.
