TOP POP, the finest graded by NGC. The larger variety almost 45mm, struck in silver and edge marked #3735 with copyright information. The official souvenir medal was copyrighted in 1961 by the New York World’s Fair Corp. Medallic Art Co., of NYC had the official license to strike and sell these medals. Designed by John Peterkin, sculpted by Anthony de Francisci. The New York City Seal is on the reverse, dual dated below 1664-1964. Gold medals were presented to President John F. Kennedy, and His Holiness Pope John XXIII, by Chairman Thomas J. Deegan, Jr. Unlisted in Hibler and Kappen.
