SOLD: 1964 NYWF John F. Kennedy Silver-Plated SCD

Silver-Plated Copper Nickel. Obverse features the bust of Kennedy facing left, 1917 to the left, 1963 to the right. Same reverse as the Louisiana Pavilion SCD SH 26-9, reeded edge, neither die is signed. Struck with and without a loop attached. Sold in the Hall of Education. Reported struck in 22k gold but none are known. Some are found with names punched on the lower obverse below ISSUED TO. Reverse lower legend states OFFICIAL UNITED STATES COIN UN-MINTED. A similar Jacqueline Kennedy version states on the reverse GOOD FOR 100¢ IN TRADE and it is not cataloged as a so-called dollar.
