In 1976 the State of Nevada received back from the U.S. Mint the original obverse die that was used 100 years earlier to strike the HK-19 Nevada 1876 Centennial Exposition So-Called Dollar. It features a Minute Man and a Soldier with the Liberty Bell between them and was engraved by William Barber. Included is the original plastic holder and cardboard insert, it has the CC mintmark on the reverse as it was struck at the Carson City Mint. A new 1976 reverse die was paired with the original 1876 die. Struck in copper, not bronze, by the U.S. Mint.
