SOLD: 2025 Fellowship Gathering #12 – ERROR overstruck on a 1939 GGIE Petroleum SCD

Overstruck on an HK-483 brass 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition Petroleum SCD. The under design clearly shows through. A fascinating error struck by Daniel Carr. Only two of these errors were struck and this is the last one left. The obverse die is the actual die that was used to strike the 1959 Hawaii Statehood Hula Girl So-Called Dollars, HK-548-551. Dan Carr created a reverse die for the 12th Fellowship Gathering. They were struck in six different metal compositions including: silver, silver with select gold-plating, copper, copper with select gold-plating, brass and aluminum. Anyone that wants to purchase a complete set for $310 gets the copper piece for free, a $20 savings.
