The Declaration of Independence die engraved by Demarest has four people seated and two standing to the right of the Committee of Five. Signed “Demarest. SC.”. All of these medals have extensive die cracks on the obverse near the signature. Reverse features Demarest’s John Hancock signature die, a simple design with a monumental impact.
