Soley’s white metal variety reverse die has a “No” for “number” engraved into the die below the date. The example pictured has a digit “1” counterpunched into the medal, indicating it is medal number one. Other than the “1” no other counterpunch numbers are known for any of the star reverses except for this variety in copper which is known counterpunched with an u p s i de down “8”.
