Impressive gilt piece. What is the base medal?

This piece is hard to come by? and going up on Heritage in Feb 2014 for auction.

This item sold in the $1500 range. I think that's a steal given it's the only one graded per NGC records. I have seen 2 in the past 6 years, so I actually think this piece is pretty rare...

Yes, I agree this is an exceptionally rare piece. I wanted that piece really bad, I was the underbidder on it.

Speaking of rare, an important SCD collector allowed me to see this piece?. an HK-5 in Gilt?. presumed unique. Wow!
